Pharmacological action
The substances contained in Super Optik are mainly intended to protect against damage to the macula, retina and lens. The yellow spot is the central and most sensitive part of the retina. Visual acuity depends on the normal functioning of the retinal macula. Factors that adversely affect the functioning of the macula include: age, tobacco smoking, long-term exposure to intense light (ultraviolet radiation), as well as a lack of so-called antioxidants.
The adverse effects of the above environmental factors are mainly associated with the formation of free radicals. Free radicals are also formed in the body during many metabolic processes. Free radicals are atoms, molecules, or ions that exhibit high chemical activity against the components of cell membranes (they are destroyed by oxidation). Excess free radicals contribute to the development of ophthalmic pathologies such as macular degeneration and cataracts. Free radical damage to the macula of the retina can lead to deterioration, and often complete loss of central vision, deterioration of color perception, difficulty reading, and in exceptional cases, even blindness. Free radical damage to the lens of the eye can lead to the development of cataracts.
In addition to protecting the eyes from the adverse effects of environmental factors, the substances contained in the preparation relieve the symptoms of eye fatigue caused by prolonged visual concentration, increase visual acuity and improve the adaptation of vision in the dark. This effect of action is provided by the optimally selected composition of the product:
Carotenoids: lutein and zeaxanthin are found in the yellow spot of the retina. The intake of these substances leads to an increase in the optical density of the macula, which contributes to the normal functioning of the retina, and therefore vision. In addition, these substances protect the eyes from sunlight and harmful ultraviolet radiation, acting like a light filter, and protect against the effects of free radicals that are harmful to the retina, and especially the macula (antioxidant effect). Vitamins C and E, omega-3 fatty acids, and zinc, selenium, manganese, and copper, which are part of the antioxidant enzymes, also have a strong antioxidant effect. In addition, vitamin E supports the normal functioning of retinal blood vessels, and one of the components related to omega-3 fatty acids – DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) increases the sensitivity of receptors. Vitamin A in the retina is converted to rhodopsin, a visual pigment essential for vision at dusk and in low light. Vitamin A is also involved in the process of protecting the conjunctiva of the eye from drying out.
B vitamins play an important role in maintaining the physiological functions of the visual system, improving vision by increasing the sensitivity of the retina and taking part in the functioning of the nervous system that innervates the visual organ. The substances that make up the Super Optic product, which are necessary for the normal functioning of the visual apparatus, are not synthesized in the human body and must come from food. In cases of an unbalanced diet, insufficient physical activity, alcohol abuse, smoking, stress and fatigue, it is necessary to supplement the usual diet with the necessary elements. Super Optic contains substances that are important for the normal functioning of the body, which, when used regularly, have a positive effect on visual acuity and can delay the aging process of the eye.
