Composition
Active ingredient:
dry standardized Ginkgo biloba extract (EGb 761) 40 mg in 1 ml, including heterosides 24%, ginkgolides-bilobalides 6%
Auxiliary substances:
sodium saccharin;
soluble orange essence;
soluble lemon essence;
ethanol 95%;
purified water.
Pharmacological action
Standardized and titrated herbal preparation, the action of which is due to the influence on the metabolic processes in cells, rheological properties of blood and microcirculation, as well as on vasomotor reactions of blood vessels.
Improves blood supply to the brain, improves the delivery of oxygen and glucose, normalizes the tone of arteries and veins, improves microcirculation. It improves blood flow, prevents aggregation of red blood cells, and has an inhibitory effect on the platelet activation factor.
Improves metabolic processes, has an antihypoxic effect on tissues. Prevents the formation of free radicals and lipid peroxidation of cell membranes. It affects the release, reuptake and catabolism of neurotransmitters (norepinephrine, acetylcholine) and their ability to bind to membrane receptors.
Pharmacokinetics
The pharmacokinetics of Tanakan have not been studied.
Indications
- The cognitive and neurosensory deficit of various origins (with the exception of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia of various etiologies);
- intermittent claudication in chronic obliterating arteriopathy of the lower limbs (II degree in Fontaine);
- impairment of vascular Genesis, reducing its severity;
- hearing impairment, tinnitus, dizziness and coordination disorders predominantly vascular origin;
- the disease and Raynaud’s syndrome.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
The use of Tanakan is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation due to the lack of clinical data.
Contraindications
Side effects
Allergic reactions: redness, skin rash, swelling, itching, hives.
From the side of the blood coagulation system: reduced blood clotting and the possibility of bleeding (with prolonged use). Dermatological reactions: eczema.
From the central nervous system: headache, dizziness, tinnitus.
From the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, diarrhea. In case of adverse reactions, the patient should stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.
Interaction
Interaction with drugs that are metabolized with the participation of the CYP3A4 isoenzyme and have a low therapeutic index should be allowed with caution.
Do not use Tanakan in combination with drugs that include acetylsalicylic acid, drugs that reduce blood clotting, and anticoagulants.
Combination with cephalosporin antibiotics, chloramphenicol, thiazide diuretics, oral hypoglycemic agents,5-nitroimidazole derivatives, cytostatics, tranquilizers, Gentamicin, Disulfiram, anticonvulsants, antifungal drugs, Ketoconazole, tricyclic antidepressants can cause hyperthermia, vomiting, and rapid heartbeat.
How to take, course of use and dosage
Prescribe 40 mg (1 tablet or 1 ml of oral solution) 3 times / day with meals. They are taken orally.
Solution for oral use-dissolve in half a glass of water. When taking the drug in the form of an oral solution, use the supplied pipette dispenser (1 dose = 1 ml of solution).
Overdose
Currently, there are no known cases of overdose of the drug Tanakan.
Special instructions
Since Tanakan in tablet form contains lactose, it should not be prescribed to patients with congenital galactosemia, glucose or galactose malabsorption syndrome, or with lactase deficiency.
