Troxevazine-Neo is a combined drug for external use, the pharmacological action of which is due to the substances included in its composition.

Troxerutin is an angioprotective agent. It is a flavonoid (a rutin derivative); its pharmacological properties are associated with the participation of troxerutin in redox processes and inhibition of hyaluronidase, which stabilizes the hyaluronidase of cell membranes, reduces capillary permeability and fragility; troxerutin prevents damage to the basement membrane of endothelial cells when exposed to various factors, reduces exudative inflammation in the vascular wall, limiting platelet adhesion to its surface; has P-vitamin activity: it has a venotonic, venoprotective, anti-edematous, anti-inflammatory, anticoagulant and antioxidant effect; increases capillary tone, increases the density of the vascular wall. Promotes normalization of microcirculation and trophic tissues, reduces congestion.

Heparin is a direct-acting anticoagulant, a natural anticoagulant of the body. Prevents thrombosis, activates fibrinolytic properties of blood, improves local blood flow. It has an anti-inflammatory effect, promotes the regeneration of connective tissue by inhibiting the activity of hyaluronidase.

Dexpanthenol (provitamin B5) in the skin is converted to pantothenic acid, which is part of coenzyme A, which plays an important role in the processes of acetylation and oxidation. Improving metabolic processes, dexpanthenol promotes regeneration of damaged tissues; improves the absorption of heparin.

Pharmacokinetics

When applied topically, the active ingredients are quickly absorbed by the skin.

Heparin accumulates in the upper layers and actively binds to skin proteins. When applied externally, a small amount of heparin penetrates the systemic bloodstream without having a systemic effect, without causing any changes in blood clotting parameters. It does not penetrate the placental barrier.

Dexpanthenol penetrates all layers of the skin and is converted to pantothenic acid, binds to plasma proteins (mainly beta-globulin and albumin). Pantothenic acid is not metabolized in the body and is excreted unchanged.

Troxerutin is found in the dermis after 30 minutes, and in subcutaneous fat after 2-5 hours. The penetration of troxerutin into the systemic circulation is clinically insignificant.

Indications

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Before using the drug during pregnancy, you should consult your doctor.

The use of Troxevasin-Neo in the first trimester is contraindicated due to the lack of data from controlled clinical trials. In the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, it is possible if the expected benefit of therapy for the mother exceeds the potential risk for the fetus.

There are no data on the penetration of the drug into breast milk. The use of the drug during breastfeeding is not recommended.

Contraindications

-violation of the integrity of the skin.

– hypersensitivity to troxerutin, heparin or dexpanthenol, or any excipient of the drug.

– under 18 years of age (due to lack of data on efficacy and safety).

– The first trimester of pregnancy and the period of breastfeeding.

With caution

– in patients with chronic renal failure, if long-term use of the drug is necessary.

Side effects

Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: allergic reactions at the site of gel application(skin rash, itching).

Interaction

Interactions with Troxevazine Neo with other drugs was not detected.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Applied externally!

If the doctor does not recommend otherwise, then a strip of gel 1-3 cm long (depending on the area of the affected surface) is applied in a thin layer to the skin on the affected area 2 times a day in the morning and in the evening, evenly distributing it over the skin surface with light rubbing movements until completely absorbed. If necessary, the gel can be applied under bandages or elastic stockings.

The success of treatment with the drug largely depends on its regular use for a long time. The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks. The need for longer treatment is determined by the attending physician.

Repeated treatment is recommended 2-3 times a year.

It is recommended to combine with taking troxerutin capsules to enhance the therapeutic effect of the drug.

Overdose

Overdose is unlikely due to the low systemic absorption of the active ingredients of the gel.

Description

Transparent or almost transparent gel from yellowish to greenish-yellow color.

Special instructions

The gel should only be applied to the undamaged surface of the skin. Avoid contact with open wounds, eyes and mucous membranes. Troxevasin Neo is not intended for use in ophthalmology, for intravaginal and rectal use. Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms. It does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms.

Form of production

Gel for external use. 40 g of the drug in a membrane aluminum tube,40 g or 100 g of the drug in a membrane laminate tube. Each tube together with the instructions for use is placed in a cardboard box.

Storage conditions
