cto stearyl alcohol (cetyl alcohol 60%, stearyl alcohol 40%) 4.5 g,
macrogol cetostearate 6.0 g,
vaseline 30.0 g,
purified water up to 100.0 g
Pharmacological action
Turpentine ointment is a plant-based remedy.
It has a local irritating and” distracting ” effect, which is achieved by stimulating skin receptors and local release of biologically active substances (including histamine). It also has an antiseptic effect.
Indications
- neuralgia,
- myositis,
- rheumatism,
- arthritis.
Contraindications
- hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug,
- violation of the integrity or inflammatory diseases of the skin at the site of the intended application,
- pregnancy and lactation.
With caution: hepatic and / or renal insufficiency, childhood.
Side effects
- hyperemia and itching of the skin,
- allergic reactions.
How to take, course of use and dosage
Turpentine ointment is applied externally.
