Tussamag syrup 9% sugar-free, 175g

Composition

>of 100 g of syrup (without sugar) contains: Active ingredient: thyme extract liquid 9 g, excipients: potassium sorbate; citric acid monohydrate;caramel;glycerol 85%; sorbitol 70%; purified water.

Pharmacological action

Tussamag has an expectorant, bronchodilator effect. Reduces the viscosity of bronchial secretions, normalizes respiratory function.

Indications

Inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract with difficult to separate sputum (bronchitis, tracheitis, tracheobronchitis, whooping cough).

Contraindications

• Chronic heart failure in the stage of decompensation;
• renal failure;
• liver failure;
• pregnancy; breast-feeding;
• children under 1 year of age;
• hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

With caution, Tussamag drops should be used for oral use in alcoholism, severe liver diseases. Tussamag syrup should be used with caution in patients with diabetes mellitus.

Interaction

Interaction of Tussamag syrup 9% with other drugs was not detected.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Tussamag syrup should be taken orally, preferably after a meal.

Adults are prescribed 2-3 teaspoons (10-15 ml) 3-4 times a day.

Children over the age of 5 years and adolescents are prescribed 1-2 teaspoons (5-10 ml) 3-4 times a day.

Children aged 1 to 5 years are prescribed 1 teaspoon (5 ml) 2-3 times a day.

Special instructions

Tussamag drops for oral use contain 19 vol.% ethanol, syrup and syrup 9% – 4 vol.% ethanol.

When prescribing Tussamag syrup 9% (175 g bottle) to patients with diabetes mellitus, it should be borne in mind that 1 teaspoon of sugar-free syrup contains 1.85 g of sorbitol, which is 0.15 XE.

The drug contains a plant extract, which may cause slight turbidity of the solution or the appearance of sediment in the bottle, but this does not affect the effectiveness of the drug.
