Composition

Active ingredient:

urea (urea) (in terms of 100%) – 0.3 g

. excipients:

emulsion wax-0.06 g,

liquid paraffin (vaseline oil) – 0.06 g,

Pharmacological action

Pharmaceutical group:

Pharmaceutical action:

Uroderm has a keratolytic effect, softens and moisturizes the skin, increases its elasticity.

Indications

-it is used to soften the skin and remove horny layers in warts (before removal )and to soften nail plates in order to facilitate their pruning and processing in ingrown toenails, onychomycosis, onychogryphosis, onychodystrophy, hard nails.

– in the complex therapy of skin diseases accompanied by excessive keratinization: ichthyosis and ichthyosiform dermatoses, keratoderma, psoriasis, chronic eczema, Devergie’s disease, follicular keratosis, hyperkeratotic forms of fungal diseases; omozolelosti, dry skin;

Use during pregnancy and lactation

It is recommended to use carefully after consulting your doctor. It is not recommended to apply on large surfaces. Use is possible if the potential benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus or child.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug Uroderm.

Do not apply on large surfaces in patients with renal, hepatic and cardiovascular insufficiency.

Side effects

When used in the acute period of a skin disease, in some cases it is possible to increase itching and redness of the skin at the sites of application of the drug, which requires its temporary cancellation until the severity of the process decreases.

Possible allergic reactions.

Interaction

The ability of urea to loosen the stratum corneum of the skin creates conditions for increasing the resorption of other external agents, which enhances their effect.

The ointment can be alternated (morning-evening) with any other external means, except keratolytic (salicylic ointment).

How to take, course of use and dosage

Externally. For skin diseases accompanied by excessive keratinization (ichthyosis, ichthyosiform dermatoses, keratoderma, psoriasis, chronic eczema, Devergie’s disease, follicular keratosis, homozolost, dry skin), the ointment is applied to the areas of accumulation of horny layers in a thin layer 2 times a day. With severe peeling, an occlusive dressing may be used. Before applying the ointment, surface wounds, erosions, cracks, crusts, abrasions are treated with antiseptics. Treatment is stopped after the removal of horny layers.

In hyperkeratotic forms of fungal diseases, the ointment is applied 20-30 minutes before antifungal external remedies. For warts, the ointment is applied for 2-8 hours under a band-aid, then the softened part of the wart is cut off, after which it can be removed.

To facilitate pruning and treatment of nails with ingrown toenail, onychomycosis, onychogryphosis, onychodystrophy, hard nails, Uroderm ointment is applied to the nails for 20-30 minutes, then they are cut. With a significant thickening of the nails, the ointment is applied 2 times a day, taped with a band-aid, treated after softening.

The duration of treatment for skin diseases depends on the location and severity of the process and can be several weeks. To facilitate the pruning and treatment of nails, the ointment can be used 2-3 times a month, the duration of its use in such cases is not limited.

Special instructions

Do not apply on mucous membranes.

The drug does not affect the ability to drive a car and perform work that requires increased concentration of attention.
