Composition

1 tablet contains:

Active ingredients:

diosmin – 0.45 g,

hesperidin-0.05 g.

Excipients (core):

gelatin, magnesium stearate,

microcrystalline cellulose,

starch, sodium glycolate,

talc.

Excipients (shell):

polyethylene glycol 6000,

magnesium stearate,

hydroxypropylmethylcellulose,

sodium lauryl sulfate,

titanium dioxide,

iron oxide red,

iron oxide yellow.

Pharmacological action

It has an angioprotective and venotonizing effect.

Reduces the extensibility of the veins, increases their tone and reduces venous congestion; reduces the permeability, fragility of capillaries and increases their resistance; improves microcirculation and lymph outflow.

When used systematically, it reduces the severity of clinical manifestations of chronic venous insufficiency of the lower extremities of organic and functional nature.

Indications

• Venous insufficiency of the lower extremities of functional and organic nature (feeling of heaviness in the legs, pain, convulsions, trophic disorders).
• Acute and chronic hemorrhoids.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Pregnancy

Animal experiments did not reveal any teratogenic effects. To date, there have been no reports of any side effects when using the drug in pregnant women.

Breast-feeding period

Due to the lack of data on the excretion of the drug in breast milk, lactating women are not recommended to take the drug.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or excipients that make up the drug.
• It is not recommended to take the drug for lactating women.

From the side of the skin:  rarely-rash, pruritus, urticaria; frequency unknown-allergic dermatitis, hyperemia, isolated swelling of the face, lips, eyelids, in exceptional cases angioedema.

Overdose

Functional features

The main release of the drug occurs with feces. On average, about 14% of the amount of the drug taken is excreted in the urine.

The elimination half-life is 11 hours.

The drug undergoes an active metabolism, which is confirmed by the presence of phenolic acids in the urine.

Special instructions

In case of acute hemorrhoids, the use of this drug does not replace the specific treatment of other anal disorders. The duration of treatment should not exceed the time specified in the section “Dosage and use”. If the symptoms do not disappear after the recommended course of therapy, a proctological examination should be performed and the therapy used should be reviewed.

In the presence of venous circulatory disorders, the maximum effect of treatment is provided by combining therapy with a healthy (balanced) lifestyle: it is advisable to avoid long exposure to the sun, prolonged exposure to the feet, as well as reducing excess body weight. Walking and, in some cases, wearing special stockings, helps to improve blood circulation.
