One tablet contains:

Pharmacological Properties

Pharmacodynamics

The combination of diosmin+hesperidin has venotonizing and angioprotective properties. The drug reduces the dilatability of veins and venous congestion, reduces the permeability of capillaries and increases their resistance. The results of clinical studies confirm the pharmacological activity of the drug in relation to venous hemodynamic parameters. A statistically significant dose-dependent effect of the drug was demonstrated for the following venous plethysmographic parameters: venous capacity, venous extensibility, and time of venous emptying. The optimal dose-effect ratio is observed when taking 1000 mg per day.

The combination of diosmin+hesperidin increases venous tone: venous occlusal plethysmography showed a decrease in the time of venous emptying. In patients with signs of severe microcirculation disorders, after therapy with the drug, an increase in capillary resistance (statistically significant compared to placebo) was observed, evaluated by angiostereometry.

The therapeutic efficacy of the combination of diosmin+hesperidin in the treatment of chronic diseases of the veins of the lower extremities, as well as in the treatment of hemorrhoids, has been proven.

Pharmacokinetics

The main release of the drug occurs with feces. On average, about 14% of the amount of the drug taken is excreted in the urine. The elimination half-life is 11 hours.

The drug undergoes an active metabolism, which is confirmed by the presence of phenolic acids in the urine.

Indications

Venolife Duo is indicated for the treatment of symptoms of chronic venous diseases (elimination and relief of symptoms).

Treatment of symptoms of venous-lymphatic insufficiency:

– pain;

– cramps of the lower extremities;

– feeling of heaviness and bursting in the legs;

-” fatigue ” of the legs.

Treatment of venous-lymphatic insufficiency manifestations:

– edema of the lower extremities;

– trophic changes in the skin and subcutaneous tissue;

– venous trophic ulcers.

Symptomatic treatment of acute and chronic hemorrhoids.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Pregnancy

Animal experiments did not reveal any teratogenic effects.

To date, there have been no reports of adverse effects when using the drug in pregnant women.

Breast-feeding

Due to the lack of data on the elimination of the drug in breast milk, lactating women are not recommended to take the drug.

Effect on reproductive function

Reproductive toxicity studies have shown no effect on reproductive function in rats of both sexes.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the Active ingredient or to the excipients that make up the drug.

It is not recommended to take the drug for lactating women.

Side effects

Side effects of the combination of diosmin+hesperidin, observed in clinical studies, were mild. Gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhea, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting) were mostly noted.

Rarely: skin rash, pruritus, urticaria.

Unspecified frequency: isolated swelling of the face, lips, and eyelids. In exceptional cases, angioedema.

Interaction

No clinical studies have been conducted to study the interactions of the diosmin+hesperidin combination with other drugs. To date, no identified cases of drug interactions have been reported.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Inside.

The recommended dose for venous-lymphatic insufficiency is 1000 mg per day, preferably in the morning, with meals. Tablets should be swallowed with water.

The risk on the tablet is intended solely for division with the aim of making it easier to swallow.

The duration of the course of treatment can be several months (up to 12 months). In case of recurrent symptoms, the doctor recommends that the course of treatment be repeated.

The recommended dose for acute hemorrhoids is 3000 mg per day (1000 mg in the morning, afternoon and evening) for 4 days, then 2000 mg per day (1000 mg in the morning and evening) for the next 3 days.

The recommended dose for chronic hemorrhoids is 1000 mg per day.

Overdose

Cases of overdose are not described.

If you overdose, seek immediate medical attention.

Special instructions

Before you start taking Venolife Duo, it is recommended to consult with your doctor.

In case of hemorrhoid exacerbation, the use of Venolife Duo is not a substitute for specific treatment of other anal disorders. The duration of treatment should not exceed the time specified in the section “Dosage and use”. In the event that symptoms persist after the recommended course of therapy, you should be examined by a proctologist, who will select further therapy.

In the presence of venous circulatory disorders, the maximum effect of treatment is provided by combining therapy with a healthy(balanced) lifestyle: it is advisable to avoid long stay in the sun, long stay on your feet, and also,

it is recommended to reduce excess body weight. Hiking and, in some cases, wearing special stockings help improve blood circulation.

Contact your doctor immediately if your condition worsens or does not improve during treatment.

Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms

No clinical studies have been conducted to investigate the effect of the combination of diosmin+hesperidin on the ability to drive a car and perform work requiring high-speed mental and physical reactions. However, based on the available safety data, it can be concluded that diosmin+hesperidin do not affect (do not have a significant effect) on these processes.
