Pharmacodynamics
Venoplant reduces capillary permeability, has a venotonic, anti-edematous, anti-inflammatory and angioprotective effect.
Prevents the activation of lysosomal enzymes that break down proteoglycan, increases the tone of the venous wall, eliminates venous congestion, reduces capillary permeability and fragility.
Reduces exudation, reduces fluid effusion in the tissue and accelerates the resorption of existing edema.
It slows down the processes of inflammation, improves microcirculation, and promotes the repair of organs and tissues.
Pharmacokinetics
Horse chestnut seed extract dry contains a large amount of biologically active substances, which together determine its pharmacological activity. Therefore, data on the pharmacokinetics of individual chemical components that make up the extract are insufficient for extrapolation to the drug as a whole.
Chronic venous insufficiency of class I–III according to CEAR classification:
Hypersensitivity to horse chestnut seed extract or any of the components of Venoplant; children (under 18 years of age).
Allergic reactions: feeling hot, hives, skin rash, pruritus, anaphylactic shock, dyspepsia (including nausea), dizziness, headache.
If any adverse events occur, you should inform your doctor about them.
Concomitant use with indirect anticoagulants is not recommended, as Venoplant enhances their effect.
Inside, before eating, without chewing, with a small amount of liquid.
1 tablet each Venoplant 2 times a day (morning and evening); the duration of treatment is determined by the severity of the symptoms of the disease and is no more than 16 weeks.
No overdose cases have been reported so far.
Treatment: in case of overdose, consult your doctor.
It is necessary to strictly follow all additional prescriptions of the doctor — bandaging the legs, wearing elastic stockings, cold foot baths. All regulations must be strictly observed.
If severe symptoms suddenly appear (especially on one leg), such as severe swelling, discoloration of the skin, a feeling of tension, heat, or pain, you should immediately consult a doctor, as they can be symptoms of a serious disease — venous thrombosis of the lower extremities.
Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and work with mechanisms. During the period of use of the drug, care should be taken when performing potentially dangerous activities that require increased attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.
