Indications
Peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, hyperacid gastritis.
How to take, course of use and dosage
Inside,1-1.5 hours 3 times after meals, with a small amount (1/4 cup) of water for 1-2 tablets.
The course of treatment is 1-2 months (if necessary, the course is repeated).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, hypoacid gastritis, chronic renal failure, enterocolitis, children under 18 years of age (efficacy and safety have not been established), pregnancy, lactation (breastfeeding).

Pharmacological action
Vikair is a combined drug that has an astringent, antacid, laxative and antispasmodic effect. Magnesium carbonate reduces the acidity of gastric juice, reduces the activity of pepsin. Bismuth nitrate forms a protective film on the gastric mucosa, exerting an anti-inflammatory, bactericidal, and reparative effect. Included in the composition of calamus, which has an antispasmodic effect, and buckthorn, which has a laxative effect, help to improve the passage through the intestines.

Interaction
When taking m-holinoblockers or histamineH2-receptor blockers, the need for the drug decreases.
Reduces the absorption of tetracyclines. In combination with other drugs containing bismuth, the concentration of bismuth in the blood increases.

Special instructions
It is not advisable to prescribe Vikair to patients with peptic ulcer disease in combination with chronic appendicitis, enterocolitis, cholecystitis and patients with a tendency to bleeding.
