For the treatment of bacterial infections,1 drop of the drug is instilled into the conjunctival sac 2-6 times a day. The duration of treatment is 10 days. The expediency and necessity of extending the treatment period > 10 days should be determined by the doctor.
In the postoperative period,1 drop of Vitabact is instilled into the conjunctival sac 3-4 times a day.
To prevent postoperative complications (preoperative preparation),1-2 drops of the drug are instilled into the conjunctival sac immediately before surgery
Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug.
Since the use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation has not been studied, Vitabact® is not recommended for use in pregnant and lactating women.

Picloxydin-a derivative of biguanides, an antimicrobial agent, has an antiseptic effect. Active against Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli, Eberthella typhosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus vulgaris, Shigella dysenteria, Bacillus subtilis, Chlamidia trachomatis; some viruses and fungi. Pharmacokinetics When applied topically, systemic absorption of picloxidine is low.

Vitabakt eye drops are available in a sealed plastic bottle with a dropper, no pipette is required for their instillation. To open the bottle, it is necessary to screw the lid all the way up, while the spike on its inner side should pierce the dropper. To instill eye drops, it is necessary to tilt the patient’s head back a little, the patient’s gaze should be directed upwards. The drug is instilled into the lower conjunctival sac, gently pulling the lower eyelid. To prevent contamination of the drug solution during instillation, patients should avoid contact of the dropper tip with the eye and skin. Do not use Vitabact eye drops for subconjunctival injections or enter the anterior chamber of the eye. Vitabact eye drops do not change the color of contact lenses (including soft hydrophilic ones), but contact lenses are contraindicated for infectious eye diseases. If visual clarity decreases during treatment with the drug, patients should stop driving vehicles and working with mechanisms.
