Composition

One tablet contains: Active ingredient: Prostate extract-100 mg (in terms of water-soluble peptides-20 mg); Excipients: Sucrose-28,500 mg, Lactose monohydrate-7,125 mg, Calcium stearate monohydrate-2,500 mg, Crospovidone-9,275 mg, Microcrystalline cellulose-up to 102,600 mg; Shell composition: Acrylic-from (methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate copolymer [1: 1], titanium dioxide, talc, triethyl citrate, colloidal silicon dioxide, sodium bicarbonate, sodium lauryl sulfate, indigo carmine) – 25 mg

Pharmacological action

Vitaprost® has an organotropic effect on the prostate gland. Reduces the degree of edema, leukocyte infiltration of the prostate gland, normalizes the secretory function of epithelial cells, increases the number of lecithin grains in the secretion of acinuses, stimulates the muscle tone of the bladder. Improves microcirculation in the prostate gland by reducing thrombosis, antiplatelet activity, prevents the development of venous thrombosis in the prostate gland. Based on the data of clinical studies, Vitaprost ® has been shown to moderately reduce the volume of the prostate gland. The drug reduces the severity of obstructive and irritative symptoms in benign prostatic hyperplasia, which is expressed in an increase in the maximum and average volumetric flow rates of urine and a decrease in the volume of residual urine. Data from clinical studies have shown that the use of Vitaprost ® reduces the likelihood of developing exacerbations of chronic abacterial prostatitis, does not cause changes in the indicators of clinical and biochemical blood analysis, general urinalysis. The effectiveness of Vitaprost® for the prevention of exacerbations of chronic abacterial prostatitis is estimated by medical researchers to be 97.5%. Vitaprost® normalizes the parameters of prostate and ejaculate secretion. Reduces pain and discomfort caused by prostatitis, eliminates dysuric phenomena, improves copulatory function.

• Chronic abacterial prostatitis.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Lactase deficiency, sucrose/isomaltase deficiency, lactose intolerance, fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption (the drug contains lactose and sucrose).

Side effects

Extremely rare — allergic reactions. If any of the above side effects get worse or you notice any other side effects that are not listed in the instructions, tell your doctor.

Interaction

If you are taking any other medications, you should consult your doctor before starting treatment. Cases of interaction or incompatibility with other drugs are not described.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Inside,1 tablet 2 times a day. The duration of treatment with Vitaprost® for benign prostatic hyperplasia is not less than 30 days, and for chronic prostatitis – not less than 10 days. To prevent exacerbations of chronic prostatitis, apply 1 tablet 2 times a day for at least 30 days — 1-2 times a year.
