Product description
dietary supplements. It is not a medicinal product
Composition
Ethyl esters of omega-3 acids, which include:
- Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) 300 mg
- Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) 200 mg
- D-alpha Tocopherol (Vitamin E) 2 mg
Excipients: Â gelatin; glycerin; distilled water.
Action
It is used for lipid metabolism disorders caused by severe hypertriglyceridemia, has an anti-inflammatory effect.
Promotes normalization of LDL content and VLDL, changes in the fluid properties of cell membranes and increases the functional activity of membrane receptors, which improves the lipid-cellular interaction of lipoproteins with enzymes, and improves lipoprotein metabolism.
The antiplatelet effect of the drug is associated with a change in the composition of cell membrane lipids under its influence, including red blood cell membranes, characterized by a decrease in the content of arachidonic acid (AA) and an increase in the level of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA).
As a result, there is a decrease in the synthesis of thromboxane A2 and other diunsaturated eicosanoids (AK derivatives), which increase platelet aggregation, and an increase in the synthesis of thromboxane A3 and other triunsaturated eicosanoids from EPA, which do not have a pro-aggregation effect.
Due to the effect on the activity of Ca2+ — Md2+ channels inside cardiac membranes and the normalization of Ca2+ metabolism in cardiomyocytes, as well as the suppression of rapid accumulation of intracellular calcium during stress and ischemia, some rhythm-regulating effect is possible, aimed at reducing the severity of ventricular arrhythmias.
This complex of essential polyunsaturated fatty acids is used to normalize lipid metabolism and reduce the risk of developing atherosclerosis. The protective and antiarrhythmic effects of Omega-3 PUFAs may be the basis for reducing the risk of sudden death in patients with CHD.
It is also assumed that Omega-3 PUFAs reduce the risk of myocardial infarction and stroke due to antithrombotic action, reduce cardiovascular risk due to anti-inflammatory action.
Vitamin E has antioxidant activity, participates in tissue respiration and other important processes of tissue metabolism; protects cells and tissues from the damaging effects of excessive amounts of free radicals and peroxide products.
