Indications
Herpes simplex of the skin and mucous membranes, genital herpes (primary and recurrent); localized shingles (auxiliary treatment).
Contraindications
If there is an increased individual sensitivity to acyclovir, famciclovir, valacyclovir, ganciclovir or excipients of the drug. Vivorax cream for pregnant and lactating women is allowed to be used only if the intended benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus/child.
Side effects

How to take, course of use and dosage
Externally. Cream or ointment is applied to the affected areas of the skin 5 (every 4 hours) or 6 (every 3 hours) times a day, respectively (as early as possible after the onset of infection). It is important to start treatment of recurrent infection during the prodromal phase or at the very beginning of the infection manifestation. Duration of treatment – at least 5 days, maximum 10 days.
Overdose
Symptoms (if accidentally swallowed): headache, neurological disorders, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, impaired renal function, lethargy, convulsions, coma. Treatment: maintenance of vital functions, hemodialysis.
Special instructions
The cream should not be applied to the mucous membranes of the mouth and eyes. Acyclovir cream is effective for preventing relapses of lip herpes. The effectiveness of treatment will be higher the earlier it is started (at the first signs of infection).
