Composition

Auxiliary substances:

thymol – 0.25 g,

cedar oil-0.45 g,

soft white paraffin-up to 100 g.

Pharmacological action

of the pharmaceutical group:

 A drug used externally for colds and coughs.

Pharmaceutical action:

 Vix Active Balm with menthol and eucalyptus is a combined preparation, the action of which is due to the components that make up its composition.

It has a local irritant, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect.

Reducing the degree of nasal congestion with a single application of the drug is observed up to 8 hours.

Indications

As part of the complex therapy of inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by:

— runny nose;

– stuffy nose;

– cough and sore throat.

Contraindications

-a tendency to laryngo-and bronchospasm;— bronchial asthma;- whooping cough; – false croup (acute stenosing laryngotracheitis);- cough caused by accumulation of phlegm (mucus);- prolonged or chronic cough caused by smoking or emphysema;— skin injuries and skin diseases in the area of the intended application of the drug; – children under 2 years of age;- hypersensitivity to the components of Vix Active Balm with menthol and eucalyptus.

Side effects

Possible allergic reactions, laryngospasm, bronchospasm, skin irritation in the area of application of the drug, lacrimation.

How to take, course of use and dosage

External use (rubbing). Only for adults and children over 2 years old.

Rub the ointment with light movements 2-4 times a day into the skin of the chest with a runny nose and stuffy nose; into the skin of the neck with a cough and sore throat; into the skin of the back with a cough.

The average duration of treatment is up to 5 days.

Special instructions

Do not swallow. Do not apply Vix Active Balm with menthol and eucalyptus to the skin around the nose and/or face. Avoid contact with the drug in the eyes, on the mucous membranes of the nose, and in the oral cavity. If the ointment accidentally gets into the eyes and mucous membranes, it is recommended to rinse thoroughly with water.

Never heat the product or use it in a heated state.

After rubbing, the clothing covering the area of application of the drug should not be too tight.

If your health does not improve within 5 days or it gets worse, you should consult a doctor.

Influence on the ability to drive motor vehicles and manage mechanisms

The use of the drug does not have a negative effect: on the ability to perform potentially dangerous activities that require increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions. (including driving a car and other vehicles, working with moving mechanisms, etc. ).
