Composition

of 1 g of ointment for external use contains:  

Active ingredient:

mother liquor of Lake Pomorie 120 mg;

Auxiliary substances:

castor oil,

tylose C-30,

lanolin anhydrous,

distilled water.

Pharmacological action

Vulnusan is an anti-inflammatory drug for external and topical use.

It has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and tissue regeneration-enhancing effects.

The mother liquor of Lake Pomorie contains macro-and microelements (magnesium, potassium, calcium, sodium, chlorine, bromine, iron, manganese, copper, cobalt, iodine, molybdenum, zinc, bismuth, selenium), as well as colloids, acids, alkalis and other substances of organic origin.

Indications

• Varicose ulcers, cracked nipples of the breast, erosion of the cervix, ulceration that occurs in Burger’s disease;
• Drug-induced natural reversible changes in the skin’s epidermis (maceration);
• Purulent wounds of various origins: surgical, infected;
• Superficial purulent processes (including post-injection and pararectal abscesses), wounds of an atherosclerotic and post-traumatic nature, trophic ulcers.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Contraindicated in pregnancy.

The use of the drug does not interfere with the child’s feeding and does not require stopping breastfeeding.

Contraindications

• hypersensitivity to the components of the drug Vulnusan.

Side effects

Allergic reactions:

• skin rash;
• urticaria;
• angioedema.

Local reactions:  pain when applied to ulcers.

How to take, course of use and dosage

The ointment is applied in a layer 2-3 mm thick on the entire wound surface and covered with a sterile dressing on top.

In the treatment of abscesses with a large cavity, up to 10-15 g of ointment is used. At the beginning of the course of treatment, the bandages are changed daily, and if the wound condition improves, they are changed every other day.

In the treatment of cracks in the breast nipple, ointment is applied to the crack area several times a day after feeding the baby.

In the treatment of cervical erosion, a tampon with the drug applied to it is inserted into the vagina 1 time / evening for 10-15 days.

Special instructions

If necessary, the drug can be used with occlusive dressings.
