Composition

Wormwood is a bitter herb.

Pharmacological action

Infusion of Beggarticks Herb (Bidens tripartita) increases the secretion of gastric juice, increases appetite, improves digestion, and has choleretic properties.

Indications

• To increase appetite and improve the function of the gastrointestinal tract: hypo – and anacid gastritis;
• Chronic cholecystitis;
• Biliary dyskinesia.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to the drug;
• Increased gastric secretion, hyperacid gastritis, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, reflux esophagitis, acute cholecystitis;
• Calculous cholecystitis;
• Pregnancy, lactation period;
• Children under 12 years of age.

Side effects

Possible allergic reactions; heartburn, gastralgia, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting (with prolonged use).

How to take, course of use and dosage

About 10 g (2 tablespoons) of the herb is placed in an enamel dish,200 ml (1 cup) of boiling water is poured, covered with a lid and heated in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, filtered, the remaining raw materials are squeezed out. The volume of the resulting infusion is brought with boiled water to 200 ml. Take inside 1/4 cup 3 times a day for 30 minutes before meals. The course of treatment is 20-25 days. It is recommended to shake the infusion before use.

Overdose

Symptoms: tremor, headache, dizziness, hallucinations, seizures. Treatment: symptomatic.

Description

Storage conditions

Store in a dry place, protected from light. The finished infusion should be stored in a cool place for no more than 2 days. Keep out of reach of children.
