Composition

Active ingredient: active complex ADENOPROSINE 150 mg (in terms of total protein-29 mg). Auxiliary substances: solid fat Suppository AM-sufficient amount to obtain a suppository weighing 2000 mg

Pharmacological action

The Active ingredient included in the drug ADENOPROSIN® is a biomass obtained from the larvae of insects of the unpaired silkworm species (Lymantria dispar), which has an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effect.

Biologically active components of the drug reduce the formation of phospholipase A2 and the release of arachidonic acid with a decrease in the synthesis of PG and LT (inhibit 5-lipoxygenase). The drug reduces capillary permeability, reduces prostate edema, and improves microcirculation in the prostate gland.

The effect of the drug ADENOPROSIN ® is manifested due to pathogenetic and non-specific mechanisms. The drug ADENOPROSIN ® already in the first days after the start of use improves urodynamic parameters (increases the value of the maximum volumetric flow rate of urine, reduces the time of urination, reduces the amount of residual urine) and the general condition of patients with BPH and chronic prostatitis (reduces the index of chronic prostatitis, the content of leukocytes in the prostate secretion, improves the uniformity of its echostructure).

The drug regulates the tone and peristalsis of the lower urinary tract segments, reducing the frequency of urination, including at night, and reducing dysuric phenomena, feelings of incomplete emptying of the bladder and tension during urination. The antioxidant effect of the drug ADENOPROSIN® is expressed by inhibition of lipid peroxidation due to antioxidant water-soluble compounds of the drug.

Indications

: benign prostatic hyperplasia;

chronic prostatitis (in combination therapy).

Recommendations for use

Rectally,1 supp. 1 time a day (preferably at night at the same time).

The duration of treatment is from 1 to 3 months, depending on the intensity of inflammatory processes in the prostate and the severity of BPH symptoms, as well as their combination.

If necessary, the course of treatment can be repeated.

Contraindications

hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;

acute urinary retention;

malignant neoplasms of the prostate gland;

children under 18 years of age.

Side effects

From the gastrointestinal tract:  rarely-diarrhea or frequent stools; itching in the anal area.

Possible allergic reactions, general weakness.

Interaction

To date, no clinically significant drug interactions of ADENOPROSINE with other drugs have been reported.

Special instructions

The drug should be used after defecation or enema. It is recommended that the patient stay in the supine position for 30-40 minutes after use of the drug.

Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms. It doesn’t affect you.

Storage conditions

Store in a dry place, protected from light, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
