Composition

Isotonic solution of seawater (NaCl concentration 0.9%),

containing natural sea water, purified water, carbon dioxide (CO_{2 concentration} 0.4%).

pH 3.5-5.5.

Osmolality is 270-350 mOsm/l.

It does not contain preservatives.

Pharmacological action

The product is intended for the prevention and comprehensive treatment of ENT diseases in children aged 2 years and adults by irrigation and washing of the nasal cavity.

The product is designed to remove excess mucus, reduce secretions, soften and remove crusts, moisten the nasal mucosa.

• It has a beneficial effect on the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity and nasopharynx, helps to reduce nasal congestion and restore nasal breathing.
• Provides the most thorough washing of the nasal cavity, contributes to the removal of any pathogen (viral, bacterial, fungal), as well as allergens and dust particles from the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity and nasopharynx due to spray “shower” and adding in a solution of sea water bubbles of carbon dioxide (CO₂), without disturbing the ecological community (normal microflora) of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity.

CO2 bubbles also contribute to the destruction of bacterial biofilms, which have the ability to protect themselves from the effects of antibiotics (causing antibiotic resistance), antiseptics, factors of the human immune system and cause acute and chronic inflammatory diseases.

The salts contained in seawater help to dilute mucus, normalize its production in the goblet-shaped cells of the mucous membrane, make it difficult to form and mature new biofilms, which reduces the bacterial load on the nasal mucosa and increases the effectiveness of antibacterial drugs when used.

Calcium and magnesium ions contained in the salt significantly improve the function of the cells of the ciliated epithelium of the nasal mucosa, normalize the rheological properties of mucus, and increase resistance to the introduction of viruses and bacteria. Iodine and sodium chloride have antiseptic properties. Zinc and selenium ions create conditions for activation of local immunity of the nasal mucosa and paranasal sinuses.

After washing the nasal cavity with the product, the therapeutic effectiveness of drugs applied to the nasal mucosa increases, the duration of respiratory diseases is reduced, and the risk of infection spreading to the paranasal sinuses and ear cavity is reduced.

Indications

The tool is used for:

• prevention and comprehensive treatment of acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of the nasal cavity, paranasal sinuses and nasopharynx (infectious, allergic, atrophic):

– acute and chronic rhinitis (runny nose);

– acute and chronic sinusitis (including sinusitis);

– acute and chronic adenoiditis;

– allergic and vasomotor rhinitis;

• the prevention and comprehensive treatment of respiratory infections (influenza, SARS, etc. );
• daily hygiene of the nasal cavity and nasopharynx;

The product is intended for children from 2 years of age and adults.

Recommendations for use

Nasal lavage is carried out as needed, on average 2-4 times a day, if necessary more often. The duration and frequency of use of the product is not limited.

Important! During the procedure, the person being flushed should not breathe, talk, or scream.

Nasal lavage in a child is carried out in an upright position of the body, preferably sitting on the hands of an adult. In this case, the child’s head should be positioned straight and slightly tilted forward. Make sure that the child does not tilt his head back during washing.

1. Remove the protective cap before use. For the first application, it may be necessary to press the anatomical nozzle several times before starting to spray the product, Insert the anatomical nozzle into the right side of the nose.

2. Press the nozzle and hold for a few seconds, thus washing out the right half of the nose.

3. Remove any remaining washing liquid by blowing your nose.

4. Perform a similar procedure on the left side of your nose.

5. Repeat the procedure if necessary.

For adults.
