drugs act
ARGALL modern gel-like wound covering, including the base – hydrolyzed protein and sodium alginate; antiseptics – the katapola (benzalkonium chloride), dioxidine and poviargol, common preservatives and plasticizers, and as a solvent – a solution of sodium hypochlorite.
ARGACOL has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, wound healing and sorption effects. The combination of antiseptics gives it a wide spectrum of antimicrobial action. As a result of the synergy inherent in the compositions with the silver preparation poviargol, a local increase in the antiseptic effect is provided with the simultaneous use of antibiotics.
ARGACOL has good adhesion to the skin and tissues, creates a sufficiently strong protective film on dry surface wounds, but can also be used with the application of bandages, providing their additional fixation, as well as with the use of tampons. It is non-toxic, usually does not give allergic reactions and does not have an irritating effect.
Indications
ARGACOL is recommended for the treatment of burns of II-IIIa degree, various wounds, trophic ulcers, bedsores and other defects of the integumentary tissues and mucous membranes, for the protection of skin grafts and donor sites, for the prevention of contamination of sutures during surgical operations. It can be used for the treatment of the oral cavity with stomatitis, with a wide range of gynecological diseases (erosion and pseudoerosion, endocervicitis caused by various pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic bacteria, colpitis, granulating and clean wounds on the mucous membranes). There is experience in using ARGACOL in the treatment of pets.
How to take, course of use and dosage
For the treatment of wounds, the gel can be used both in an open way and with the application of bandages. Apply 2-3 mm layer on damaged areas. It is applied both on fresh wounds and on pre-treated ones when changing the dressing. If exudate occurs, the wound should be rinsed with an antiseptic solution and drained before applying the gel again. It is recommended to treat the surgical field with a sterile swab with gel for 2-3 minutes. In the field, the gel can be used, including for the treatment of personnel’s hands. Before applying the gel, wash your hands with soap for 3-5 minutes, then immerse them in a gel solution and treat them with sterile gauze for 5-7 minutes. This ensures the sterility of the hands for 2-3 hours
