Pharmacological properties
Pharmacotherapeutic group: Multivitamin means+Multimineral
ATX Code: A11AA04
Pharmacological properties
A combined preparation containing a complex of vitamins and minerals that are important factors in metabolic processes.
The vitamin and mineral complex is designed to meet the physiological need for vitamins and minerals and is balanced with the daily requirement. Compatibility of the components in 1 tablet is provided by a special production technology for vitamin preparations.
Vitamin A (retinol) – participates in the formation of visual pigments, is necessary for twilight and color vision; ensures the integrity of epithelial tissues, regulates bone growth.
VitaminB1 (thiamine) as a coenzyme is involved in carbohydrate metabolism, the functioning of the nervous system.
VitaminB2 (riboflavin)is an essential catalyst for cellular respiration and visual perception.
VitaminB6 (pyridoxine) as a coenzyme is involved in protein metabolism and the synthesis of neurotransmitters.
VitaminB12 (cyanocobalamin) is involved in the synthesis of nucleotides, is an important factor in the normal growth, hematopoiesis and development of epithelial cells; it is necessary for folic acid metabolism and myelin synthesis.
Nicotinamide is involved in the processes of tissue respiration, fat and carbohydrate metabolism.
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) provides collagen synthesis; participates in the formation and maintenance of the structure and function of cartilage, bones, teeth; affects the formation of hemoglobin, maturation of red blood cells.
Rutin (rutoside) is involved in redox processes, has antioxidant properties, prevents oxidation and promotes the deposition of ascorbic acid in tissues.
Calcium pantothenate as a component of coenzyme A plays an important role in the processes of acetylation and oxidation; it contributes to the construction and regeneration of the epithelium and endothelium.
Folic acid takes part in the synthesis of amino acids, nucleotides, and nucleic acids; it is necessary for normal erythropoiesis.
Lipoic acid is involved in the regulation of lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, has a lipotropic effect, affects cholesterol metabolism, and improves liver function.
Vitamin E (alpha-Tocopherol acetate) has antioxidant properties, supports the stability of red blood cells, prevents hemolysis; has a positive effect on the functions of the sex glands, nervous and muscle tissue.
Iron is involved in erythropoiesis, as part of hemoglobin, it provides oxygen transport to tissues.
Copper prevents the development of iron deficiency anemia and oxygen starvation of organs and tissues, and helps prevent osteoporosis. Increases the strength and elasticity of blood vessels, affecting connective tissue proteins.
Calcium is necessary for the formation of bone matter, blood clotting, the transmission of nerve impulses, contraction of skeletal and smooth muscles, and normal myocardial activity.
Cobalt regulates metabolic processes, increases the body’s defenses.
Manganese plays an important role in metabolism, is a part of many enzymes, and strengthens bone and cartilage tissue.
Zinc has immunomodulatory properties, promotes the absorption of vitamin A, hair regeneration and growth.
Magnesium helps normalize blood pressure, stimulates the production of calcitonin and parathyroid hormone together with calcium, and prevents the deposition of calcium salts in the kidneys.
Phosphorus strengthens bone tissue and teeth, increases mineralization, and is a part of ATP, the energy source of cells.
Indications
-
Prevention and replenishment of vitamin and mineral deficiencies;
-
increased physical and mental stress;
-
recovery period after prolonged and / or severe diseases, including infectious ones;
- in complex treatment when prescribing antibiotic therapy.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
The use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation is contraindicated.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug; age up to 12 years.
Side effects
Possible allergic reactions to the components of the drug.
The interaction
of iron and calcium delays the absorption of antibiotics from the tetracycline group and fluoroquinolone derivatives in the intestine.
Concomitant use of vitamin C and short-acting sulfonamide preparations increases the risk of crystalluria. Antacids containing aluminum, magnesium, calcium, and colestyramine reduce iron absorption.
Ascorbic acid increases the absorption of penicillin and iron preparations. Concomitant use of diuretics from the thiazide group increases the likelihood of hypercalcemia. Vitamin B6 reduces levodopa activity in patients with Parkinsonism.
How to take, course of use and dosage
Taken orally after a meal.
For the prevention of vitamin and mineral deficiency -1 tablet 1 time a day. For conditions accompanied by an increased need for vitamins and minerals, take 1 tablet 2 times a day. The course of treatment is 4 weeks. Repeat courses are recommended by your doctor.
Overdose
In case of overdose, you should consult a doctor.
Treatment: temporary discontinuation of the drug, gastric lavage, ingestion of activated charcoal, symptomatic treatment.
