Pharmacological action

The drug normalizes the water-electrolyte balance, acid-base state and water content.

The imbalance of these factors is a severe pathophysiological syndrome, as a result of which the metabolic processes are disrupted, which in turn leads to serious, life-threatening consequences.

Indications

Extracellular (isotonic) dehydration of various origins:

• diarrhea;
• vomiting;
• fistulas;
• drains;
• intestinal obstruction.

Primary volume replenishment for blood loss and burns.

Contraindications

• edema;
• hypertonic dehydration;
• severe renal failure.

Use in patients with impaired renal function

It is contraindicated in severe renal insufficiency.

How to take, course of use and dosage

For intravenous infusion.

The maximum infusion rate is 3 ml / kg body weight / h, i. e. 70 drops / min, or 210 ml / h for a body weight of 70 kg.

The maximum dose is 40 ml / kg of body weight/day.

Special instructions

Do not use Ionosteril after the expiration date.

Use only if the solution is clear and the packaging is not damaged.
